Twenty three communities in Ekiti State are to benefit from the three hundred and twenty three million naira to be disbursed by the Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agency, EKCIDA, for various projects.
The General Manager of the Agency, Mr Yemi Alatise, who gave the information at a 2 day training for the Community Projects Management Committee, CPMC, held in Ado Ekiti, lauded governor Oyebanji for the upward review of the amount being given to each community.
Mr Alatise, who said that funds would be disbursed after the training of the CPMC, explained that the governor, in his magnanimity and in view of the inflation currently in the country, reviewed the funds from 15 to 21 million for each community.
He said that the training was designed to expose the CPMC to the rudiments of the implementation of community projects to meet the World Bank standards.
Mr Alatise advised the benefiting communities to utilize the funds for the purpose they are meant for.
The General Manager explained that over six hundred letters were received by the agency out of which the beneficiaries were selected.
