The Ekiti State INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Adeniran Tella has congratulated Christians in the state on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
The Head, Voter Education & Publicity, Alhaji Taiwo Gbadegesin, in a statement said that Dr Tella wished Christians many more celebration, calling on them to embrace the significance of the day which centres on love, sacrifice and peace.
The INEC’s Resident Commissioner said that the Commission was committed to a free and fair elections in the state, advising Nigerians, particularly, Ekiti residents to take active participation in the electoral processes.
While praying God to grant those who lost their lives in the cause of discharging their assignments to the Commission in the last by-election conducted in Ekiti East Constituency one, Omuo eternal rest, Dr Tella urged Nigerians not to forget that election should not be a do or die affair.
He therefore called on citizens to emulate the life of sacrifice, humility and faithfulness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
