Ekiti Governor’s wife, Erelu Fayemi challenges fathers on Girl Child Education

The Wife of the Ekiti State Governor Erelu Bisi Fayemi has said her passion for Feminism motivated me her to write the book titled “Where is Your Wrapper?”.

The Governor’s Wife made this known while answering questions at a public conversion on Where is Your Wrapper? which chronicled her personal life, Women’s Rights, Gender Issues among others at the Abiodun Adetiloye Hall in Ado-Ekiti

Where is Your Wrapper is a book of about 398 pages and eleven different chapters that focuses on Feminism theory and activism, inter-generational conversation, Social Justice, Religion and Society, Self awareness, Relationship among others.

The unique event had the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, his Deputy, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Funminiyi Afuye, the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Biodun Oyebanji among other top government officials in attendance.

The programme organized by the Association of Nigerian Authors, Ekiti State Chapter was held as part of activities marking this year’s World Book Day.

Erelu Fayemi while answering questions from a group of panelists who include Mr Segun Dipe, Mrs Oludayo Olorunfemi and Professor Lara Owoeye said that the book comprises fiction and poetry.

She encouraged fathers to always encouraged their girl child to be self esteem and build their reading capacity.

Erelu Fayemi appealed to people to always be of support to one another and be Wrapper for those in need.

In his remarks, Governor Kayode Fayemi applauded her wife for putting up the book which he said would in turn reshaped the societal ills.

Earlier, the Chairman of ANA in Ekiti State, Dr Sola Balogun had thanked the State Government for its support for the association.
