A driver of an 18 passenger bus whose name cannot be ascertained as at press time has evaded arrest by men of the Environmental Task force in the ongoing sanitation exercise in Ekiti State.
The drama ensued when the driver of the Lagos bound bus was stopped by the officers in Ado Ekiti for contravening the sanitation law.
The middle aged driver who alighted from his vehicle started displaying funny moves, retorting his willingness to die.
The driver in an attempt to evade arrest after the hot argument slept under his vehicle, leaving his passengers in the bus
Efforts by the security personnel on ground to curb his excesses proved abortive as the man who was alleged to have drunk was still performing the drama as time of filing this report
The Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mrs Iyabo Fakunle-Okieimen had earlier said that there would be restriction of movement during the exercise.
Mrs Okieimen warned the public especially Okada riders, market women and motorists not to violate the rules of the exercise, until the expiration of the sanitation by 10am
The Commissioner emphasized that whoever contravenes the exercise would be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the extant laws.
