Commandant John Fayemi has official resumed as the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command.
Fayemi replaced Commandant Solomon Iyamu who was redeployed.
The new Commandant was received by Officers and men of the State Command in a colourful handing over ceremony at the State headquarters in Ado Ekiti.
Prior to his redeployment to Ekiti State, Fayemi had worked in the Corps formations in more than 25 States across the country before his position as the State Commandant.
In his farewell message, the outgoing Commandant, Solomon Iyamu thanked Officers and men of the Command for their support and expressed his gratitude to the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi for his numerous interventions to the Command .
He urged the new Commandant to build on his faint strides and maintain the apron string relationship that is existing between the Command and other security formation in the State.
In his welcome address, Commandant John Fayemi promised to work in line with vision and mission of the Commandant General of the Corps, Dr Ahmed Audi to rejig and reposition the Corps so as to assist in the development of security architecture of Nigeria.
