The Commissioner of police in Ekiti State, Mr Tunde Mobayo, has paid an on the spot assessment to the bank and the police station which were attacked by armed robbers in Aramoko Ekiti yesterday.
CP, accompanied by some other top officers of the Command, expressed sadness over the attack, assuring the Aramoko community that those behind the attack would be brought to Justice.
The Commissioner of police, whose first port of call was the Divisional Police Station, sympathised with the division, particularly on the loss of one of its men and other valuables.
He promised that he would Personally donate some resources to cushion the effects of the attack.
The CP also visited the Alara, Oba Olu Adeyemi, assuring him that the police would do everything humanly possible to arrest the fleeing robbery suspects.
He called on Security agencies to intensify efforts and get to the root of the matter.
The men of the underworld had, on Monday, attacked the Aramoko Police station and one of the new generation banks in the town.
During the about one hour raid, two lives were lost while many sustained varying degrees of injury
It was however learnt that the hodlums were not successful in their quests to cart away money from the bank, as men of the police force and some members of the public resisted their desperation.
The robbery suspects, according to police account, later took to their heels while a hot chase from the men of the force made them to abadon two cars and escaped into the bush.
