The Environmental officers of the Ado Central Local Council Development Area, have evacuated a decomposing body at the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti.
Passersby said that the victim was suspected to have died on Wednesday.
Some residents identified the body to be that of a middle aged lady, nicknamed “Iron lady” who was residing at Okeila area of the State capital.
The chairman of Ado Central LCDA, Engineer Toyin Ojo, who supervised the evacuation, expressed worry over the development, saying that the area was notorious for criminality leading to deaths.
He explained that in the last three months, three corpses had been evacuated in the area, adding that government was putting necessary machinery in place to curb the menace.
Engineer Ojo explained that council had written to the ministry of Local Government Affairs to develope to expanse of land to forestall the menace.
