The Ekiti State Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Rtd Brigadier-General Joe Komolafe, has called on members of the public to be vigilant and be more security cautious following the arrest and parade of two suspected ritualists in Ado Ekiti.

The suspects, Adeniyi Oluwafemi 23, and Ogunsakin Abdulaziz 53, a herbalist were said to have attempted to murder an eighteen year old lady for ritual purposes.

Gen Komolafe said that safe for the intervention of good Samaritan, the lady would have been killed.

He explained that Adeniyi Oluwafemi had laid ambush for the lady while on her way to the church and tried to kill her with a knife, but that the victim defended herself and shouted for help.

The Amotekun Commandant said that the culprit had confessed to the crime and that he and the herbalist would be handed over to the police for investigation and prosecution.
