Foundation Empowers Widows, Aged, doles out 15 million naira.

Smiles, laughter and tears of joy radiated the atmosphere as a non governmental organization, Sam Anisulowo foundation, empowered widows, farmers and the aged in four communities of Irepodun Ifelodun Local government area of Ekiti State.

The beneficiaries, selected from Igbimo, Iworoko, Afao and Are Ekiti, went home with grinding machines, spraying machines, cut to size bags of rice and cash gifts.

The process was conducted through a raffle draw.

In all, ten widows and the aged went home with 10 metal containers with cash gifts of two hundred thousand each to stock it, while another set of ten widows and the aged got grinding machines, and about fifty farmers received spraying machines as well.

In his remarks, the Alare, Oba Boluwade Adebiyi, thanked the donor for giving support to the needy and urged others to emulate the gesture.

The founder of the foundation, Sam Anisulowo, represented by Oluwadamilare Samuel, said that the zeal to give helping hands to the needy motivated the foundation, as he dispelled the insinuation that it was for a political or other selfish gains.

He explained that the program which started few years ago, would not be limited to Irepodun Ifelodun Local government area, as plans were underway to visit other Council areas of the state to put smiles on the faces of the needy.

The beneficiaries thanked the donor for the largesse and prayed for it’s success
