Hundreds of commuters stranded in Igede, Iyin Road

By Ademola Adeleke

Residents of Igede and Iyin Ekiti have protested the abandoned gas laden tanker on the road linking the two communities.

The protest led to total blockade of the road, leaving commuters stranded.

The protesters vowed to remain on the road until the gas tanker which poses threat to them is removed

The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Okilua Monisade Afuye had earlier in the week visited the scene and directed the immediate removal of the truck.

The crisis have since been resolved

Ekiti Radio, you’re too unprofessional in your reportage. Who resolved the crisis?
How does this peaceful protest concerned Iyin people?
As at this moment 10:45pm, January 26, we’re still on the spot trying to raise the cylinder and offload the content.
