The Ekiti state House of Assembly has pledged it support to Nigeria Police ,Ekiti state Command towards having a crime free society in the state.
The Speaker, Mrs Olubunmi Adelugba made the call while receiving the new Commissioner of Police , Mr Emmanuel Ogundare who paid a courtesy call to the lawmakers at the Assembly complex in Ado.
Mrs Adelugba charged the Commissioner to use his wealth of experience to provide adequate security network to the state to guarantee a peaceful environment.
The Deputy Speaker , Mr Hakeem Jamiu urged Mr Ogundare to caution his against human rights violation as the Assembly will not tolerate such action.
The Commissioner of police sought for collaborative effort in getting rid of criminals in the state.
He said the command has made progress by arresting some notorious criminals disturbing the peace of the state.
