In a bid to further strengthening the security architecture of Ekameta local council development area stakeholders have gathered to fashion out way forward.
The meeting which took place at the council secretariat was attended by the traditional rulers, security, agencies transport Unions, religions leaders and others.
The council chairman Dr Leye Adeniji noted that the essence of the meeting was to map out strategy to curb the security challenges raveling the state.
Dr Adeniji said that Ekameta being a tourist hub of the state needed to be secured for residents and visitors.
The meeting agreed that a joint task force that will be responsible for the patrol and combing of forest must be constituted without any delay.
It submitted that Government must requip the security personnel while security endorsement fund for Ekameta LCDA must be established for voluntary donations by the people and the building of police station in all the three towns in the council area
The LCDA sympathized with the people of IMOJO and ESUN Ekiti on the sudden death of their monarch
The chairman commended the strides of governor oyebanji in tackling insecurity especially the release of abducted school pupils and teachers.
Dr Adeniji urged resident to be security conscious and report and suspicious involvement to the security agencies.
