The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has nominated a retired Permanent Secretary in the state, Mr James Folorunso, as the Director General of the Bureau of Public Procurement, BPP, as well as Dr Olufunke Fajobi and Dr Joshua Adeoye as Commissioners in the Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB.
The governor’s letter, seeking for the screening and confirmation of the nominees, was read by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr Adeoye Aribasoye, at the plenary.
The Speaker said that the screening procedure would be communicated to the nominees by the Assembly.
At the plenary, two bills, Ekiti State Regulation Approval Bill 2024 and Ekiti State Environmental Protection and Watershed Management Agency Bill 2024, were passed into law.
This was sequel to presentation of report by the lawmaker representing Ikere 1, Mr Tunde Oke and the Chairman House Committee on Environment, Mrs Iyabo Fakunle-Okiemen, which was debated by the lawmakers.
