In complementing the efforts of the wife of the Ekiti State governor, Dr Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji, the wife of Ado Local Government Chairman, Chief Yetunde Osaloni has donated Educational Materials to about ten schools in the council area.
Chief Osaloni who said the gifts was not for vulnerable children alone, explained that such gesture would also be extended to the less privileged women and widows in the society.
Chief Osaloni who decribed Education as the key that unlocks countless doors of opportunity, affirmed that the donation was part of the directive given by the Ekiti first lady that wife of chairmen should replicate her policies at the local level.
She said the back to school initiative was to encourage the less privileged and vulnerable pupils to make them feel a sense of belonging.
The husband of the donor who is the chairman Ado local government, Chief Bosun Osaloni urged the pupils to make use of the materials judiciously.
He equally advised them to make their education a priority so as to become better persons in life
In her goodwill message, the wife of the Ekiti State Governor Dr Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji represented by her Senior Special Assistant on Political, Mrs Toyin Adepoju noted that Education was important in shaping the future, hence the investment in it by the state government.
She thanked Chief Osaloni for investing in the potential of pupils, by ensuring that they have the necessary tools in their educational journey.
Similarly the Special Adviser to the state governor on Gender Empowerment, Chief Kemisola Olaleye and the Executive Secretary, Ado Local Government, Mr Toyin Omotosho lauded Chief Osaloni for replicating the first lady’s policy and urged other Chairpersons to take a cue
The beneficiaries thanked the donor and pledged to use the tools judiciously.
The items donated by Chief Yetunde Osaloni included, School bags, text books, pencils, among others
