Residents of Ekiti State have called on the Nigeria Police, and the state government to help tackle Okada related crimes, particularly, in the State capital.
In an interview with newsmen in Ado, a victim of a robbery incident, Busayo, said that the rate at which criminals perpetrate evil using motorcycles called for concern.
Narrating her experience, Busayo said “along Petim road, Adehun area of Ado Ekiti, the state capital, around 5.30 in the evening, two men alighted from a motorcycle in the front of my friends shop, while one of them immediately covered his face with a hood, and brought out a gun, asking for the money we collected from a bank”
“We explained that we did not go to any bank or collected any money, thereafter, my friend gave him her bag and her profits for the day and they left for another POS shop to rob the merchant.
The people in the neighborhood were watching the scene helplessly.”
” I want to call on the police to help check all these”.
Ado Ekiti, recently, witnessed an increase in crimes perpetrated with the aid of motorcycles.
