EKCSDA Chairman, Alabi promises improved Service delivery.

The Chairman of the Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agency, EKCSDA, Mr Olabanji Alabi, has sought the cooperation and support of the management and staff towards ensuring enhanced community development in the State.

Mr Alabi made the call during a meeting of the board with the management of the Agency in Ado.

He reiterated member’s commitment to raising the bar of the Agency’s performance.

Mr Alabi, who thanked governor Biodun Oyebanji for the confidence reposed in the board, promised not to disappoint the government and the people of the State.

He said that the board members were ready to deplore their wealth of experience in ensuring improved that the Agency met its target.

“Let me use this opportunity to thank the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, who appointed us into this position, we are committed to ensuring that we play our role and raise the bar of activities of this agency. I solicit your support and cooperation so that we can achieve this”.

Alabi added, “We are here to make sure things improve, the Board will work and carry out it’s mandate to ensure that communities in the state develop”.

Earlier, the General Manager of EKCSDA, Mr Yemi Alatise, briefed the board on the Agency’s various achievements.

He acknowledged the support received from the state government, which he said resulted in the implementation of many micro projects across the nooks and crannies of the State.

“We must acknowledge the support received from the Ekiti State government which has been paying its counterpart fund regularly and this has enabled us increased the number of projects being executed”.

The Chairman of the State Steering Committee of Ekiti Cares and Commissioner for Budget and Performance Management, Mr Niyi Adebayo, charged the Board members to see their appointments as a call to service.

He said that the government expected them to put in their best and ensure that every community benefited from the Agency.

“I want to charge you all to bring in your wealth of experience to bear as the state government is not expecting less from you all. You are all men of pedigree and character, we expect you to hit the ground running and ensure that communities in the state feel more impact of the agency.”

Also, the Director General, Bureau of Public Procurement, Pastor J.B. Folorunsho and a former Chairman of the Agency, Chief Biodun Akin-Fasae, attested to the Agency’s impact in the State.

They advised the board and management of the Agency to work together in the interest of the State.
