The Pioneer Director of Nursing Services in the Ekiti State Local Government Service, Chief (Mrs) Florence Ademuagun has joined the All Progressives Congress APC in Ode Ekiti.
The ceremony held at Ward 3, Ode in Aiyekire Local Government area of Ekiti State, had party leaders from across the council area in attendance.
Receiving the retired Senior Nurse, the Chairman of APC in Aiyekire Local Government Hon. Tokunbo Akinyeye congratulated Chief (Mrs) Ademuagun on joining what he called the winning party with an assurance that she would not regret her action.
Describing her as a leader whose wealth of experience would be needed in the party, the Ayekire Party Chairman assured her that the party would provide her equal opportunities with others.
While calling on the existing APC members to welcome her with open arms, Hon. Akinyeye enjoined all members of the party to remain united in order to continue to move the wheel of progress of the State forward.
Other leaders of the party who spoke at the forum including the Chairman Ode Ekiti ward 3 Hon. Samuel Obayemi, Secretary Aiyekire APC Hon. Idris Azeez and Women APC Senatorial PRO Hon. Temilola Adesoba also welcomed Chief (Mrs) Ademuagun to the party and urged her to work for the progress and development of the APC.
Responding Hon. (Mrs) Ademuagun who was accompanied by her Husband Chief Clement Ademuagun attributed her decision to join the APC to the good leadership style and excellent performance of Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
She added that the achievements of the Governor in less than two years in office was monumental especially in the areas of infrastructure, Agriculture and Human Capital Development.
While assuring the leadership of APC of her maximum support and loyalty, Chief (Mrs) Ademuagun promised to work towards bringing more people to the APC Fold.
She also Saluted the Wife of the Governor Dr Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji for her support for women and children through her pet project urging her to be relentless.
The event also had top APC leaders including Hon Kayode Osanyingbuaro, Hon Ayodele Oloye, Hon Bayo Ajorutu, Hon. Abiodun Okunola among others.
