Brigadier General Ifeanyi assumes command as 12th commander 32 Artillery Brigade

… Implores troops to put Service, National Interest above Personal interest

Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi has assumed the 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army (NA), Akure as the 12th Commander.

The handing and taking over ceremony was held at the Brigade Headquarters, Owena Cantonment in Akure, Ondo State.

The outgone Commander, Major General John Lar who is proceeding to the Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programmes, thanked officers and soldiers of the Brigade for the support and cooperation he enjoyed during his tenure as the Brigade Commander.

He acknowledged their professionalism, dedication and collective contributions which played a vital role in his recent elevation to the enviable rank of a Major General in the NA.

He urged the officers and soldiers to extend similar cooperation and support to the new Commander to enable him succeed as he pilots the affairs of the Brigade..

The Commander, Brigadier General Ifeanyi called on officers and soldiers of the Brigade to place Service and National interest above personal interest.

He appreciated the efforts of the outgone Commander in moving the Brigade to greater heights and promised to improve on what his predecessor has done.

He lauded the transformative drive of the outgone Commander and thanked him for his efforts in shaping the Brigade.

He further expressed his admiration for the wealth of experience and leadership qualities of his predecessor and wished him well as he proceed to take up his new appointment.

Highlights of the event include the signing of handing and taking over notes, decoration of the new Commander with the Brigade insignia, handing over of the Brigade flag as well as address to troops.

The event was graced by Corps members serving in the Brigade and32 members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association 32 Brigade Chapter, who made a token presentation to the outgone Commander.
