Some Councilors in Ado Local Government and LCDAs have raised the alarm over the alleged threat to their lives by four of their members who are currently on suspension.
The Leader of the House, Temitope Ajifowogbade, and the Majority leader, Seun Obafemi, while addressing newsmen in Ado Ekiti, alleged that Ibikunle Busuyi of Ward 10, Saka Yakubu of Ward 2, Lawal Sunday of ward 12 and Shaiubu Ismaila of Ward 13, disrupted the sitting of the House and abducted the Maze after beating the leader of the Legislature to stupor during plenary.
Mr Ajifowogbade said that the crisis started when members resolved to set up a committee to investigate the misconduct of Mr Ibikunle Busuyi, who stood as a witness against the party in a case involving one Mr Akintola Akinjide and the All Progressives Congress over the candidacy of Mrs Bolaji Egbeyemi-Olagbaju as the party’s flagbearer for Ado Constituency 2 in next year’s House of Assembly election.
They called on the Police and other security Agencies to give them more protection and to invite the three suspended Councillors for interrogation to avert a breakdown of law and order.
