The Chairman, Ado North Local Council Development Area, Hon. Olatokunbo Gbadamosi has embarked on series of people-oriented projects aimed at improving the socioeconomic well-being of the people in the council area.
One of the projects, is the drilling of borehole to be powered by solar panels at the popular “Orita Blessing”, Okeila, Ado Ekiti.
The borehole is aimed at addressing the issue of water scarcity in a well populated area, that had lacked portable water for decades.
Another project, is the laying of foundation for the construction of modern toilet facilities at the Okeila Market, with the vision to completely eradicate open defecation, enhance sanitation, hygiene and aid smooth economic activities.
Hon. Gbadamosi while addressing the jubilant crowd, who trooped out spontaneously to witness the commencement of the project’s stated, “ In line with masses oriented programmes, of the State Governor, HE, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, “we are committed to delivering dividends of democracy and improving the welfare of our people”.
Highlighting various measures designed to create a more conducive environment for the dwellers, the Chairman said the government has scaled up measures to ensure that people are provided with basic amenities that would make life comfortable for them despite the little resources.
Hon. Gbadamosi further explained that her government has been able to change the narratives in the LCDA by being strong on welfare issues and creating economic opportunities for the citizens.
These, she said, has impacted positively on the standard of living of the residents as well as improve on economic development programmes of his predecessors.
Some residents of the benefited communities lauded, Hon. Gbadamosi, and expressed their appreciation for her efforts.
They pledged their unalloyed support to the State and Local Governments and look forward to more projects that will improve their standard of living.
