The All Progressive Congress APC stakeholders in Oye Local Government Area have passed a vote of confidence on the state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Appealed to him to run for the 2023 Presidential election.
At its meeting in Oye-Ekiti, the APC chieftains and the political Office Holders highlighted the performances of Dr. Kayode Fayemi within the past two years of his second administration in terms of infrastructural developments across every community in the State.
They concluded that no administration since the creation of the state had done it right in term of prompt payment of salaries despite the economic situation of the country and paucity of fund in the State.
The chairman of Oye Local government, Hon. Foluso Ojo remarked that Dr. Fayemi has performed excellently and has all it takes to lead Nigeria as a focused, pragmatic, vibrant and energetic individual who knows the right solutions to the present economic and security problems of the country
The Lawmaker representing Oye constituency two, in the state House of Assembly, Hon Yemi Osatuyi moved the motion passing a vote of confidence on Gov. Fayemi and urged him to run for 2023 Presidential election.
This was seconded by his constituency one counterpart, Hon. Awoyemi Reuben.
Other members in the meeting are: Mrs. Ameobi Abimbola, the Vice Chairman of the Local Government; Members of the Local Government Party Caretakers Committee; representatives from the twelve wards across the Local Government and all the political appointees from Oye Local Government Area.
