An Emure Ekiti philanthropist, Pastor Olatunde Oluwafemi popularly called, “Geleti Super” by his admirers marked his birthday anniversary with the less privileged and widows from all the 10 wards from the community by distributing bags of 5kg rice and 25litres of red oil as well as cash
The event which was held at his residence at Emure Ekiti, in Emure Local Government Area of the State attracted the creme de la creme from across state and the All Progressives Congress family who eulogized the celebrator for his unprecedented philanthropy in Area.
In his address, Pastor Oluwafemi said, “I am overwhelmed by the show of love from you all, on the occasion of my birthday.
“My donation of food stuff to indigents is to ensure that those who do not have, share with those who have can afford.
“I appeal to fellow Nigerians to show compassion to the widows, vulnerable and indigent in the society especially now that Nigeria is going through huge challenges, cost of living is rising everyday, but we can dedicate ourselves to taking care of widows and the indigents infact, Living for others.
The little that you have can be shared with other people. I appreciate my lovely wife Pastor Mrs Toyin Oluwafemi for the great job she has done”.
“I also appreciate my people in Emure and Ise Orun Local Government as well as members of my great party, the All Progressives Congress APC,” Pastor Oluwafemi, concluded
In their remarks, the Special Adviser to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on State Capital Project, Mr Tade Aluko who was represented by Mr Al-Fatai Bello and the Chairman APC in Emure Ekiti Mr Bolu Oluwole commended Pastor Oluwafemi for his kind gesture which they said would go a long way to ameliorate the sufferings of the less privileged in the Area.
They thanked Pastor Oluwafemi for the massive and kind gesture of remembering almost the whole widows in town.
” Pastor Oluwafemi is kind. He can decide to spend his birthday anywhere in the world, or even at planet Mars but he choose to come here and spend it with widows and vulnerables, down here at his country home, they remarked.
Also a retired Principal, Mr Keshington Akeju who was once the birthday boy’s teacher described Pastor Oluwafemi as a forthright student and a good footballer.
“He remembered what I used to tell him and his colleagues then to be kind and generous to people, that is reflecting in his character, I am very happy for him and I pray that God will continue to be with him.
The beneficiaries through their representative thanked Pastor Oluwafemi for sharing their pains and feeling the plight of the less privileged as well as having the milk of human kindness to reach out to them.
“We are grateful and we are wishing Pastor Oluwafemi many more fruitful years with good health”.
