BSES honours Board Chairman, others

Encomiums and praises took the centre stage when the Management and members of the Programmes Department of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, led by their Director, Mr Folorunso Aloba, honoured some of the retired members of the department.
Those honoured included the Chairman of  Board of the Corporation,  Prince Segun Omolayo, a member of the Board, who is also a retired Permanent Secretary, Mr Kunle Olofin and others.
The event, which was held at the premises of the Station, was attended by the General Manager, Mr Olurotimi Popoola, management staff and members of other departments.
Those honoured at the event also included Mrs Monisola Ajayi and Messrs Layi Oyawa, Olu Ogundola, Ojo Adeniyi, Adesola Festus , Patrick Olaleye and Segun Kupoluyi-Atere, 
Others were Idowu Oguntuase, Lanre Adefolaju, Omolade Bolarinwa and Christina Ademulegun.
In his opening remarks, the Director of  Programmes, Mr Folorunso Aloba and the Chairman of the Planning Committee, who is also the Deputy Director of the Department, Mrs Dunni Ayeni, said that the event was put in place to recognize the roles the honourees had played while in the service of the corporation.
In his remarks, the General Manager of the Station,  Mr Olurotimi Popoola, who commended the retirees on their roles towards the development and growth of the corporation, promised to continue to maintain their legacies.
 He explained that the development signaled a new beginning for the Corporation as he solicited their continued support.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of the Corporation, Prince Segun Omolayo, who could not hide his joy, rendered one of his favourite traditional songs.
The highlights of the event was presentation of gifts to the retirees, and closely  followed by the cutting of a commemorative cake.
Speaking on behalf of the others, Mr Layi Oyawa, who is currently the Head of Station of Our People’s F.M, Ado Ekiti, thanked the department for the honour and promised to continue offering valuable contributions to the station.
An highlife musician was on stand to spice the occasion.
