A Cleric Reverend Toluwani Oniya has enjoined mothers to live up to their motherly responsibility by raising their children in the fear of God.
The Cleric urged mothers to diligently teach their children and wards how to be upright and be hardworking, especially in the face of the economic challenges in the country.
Reverend Oniya who is the Vicar of Grace of God Anglican Church Iwaro, Afao Road in Ado said that mothers must remain resolute in their God-given responsibility of ensuring that their homes are well netted for the glory of God.
The Anglican Clergy charged mothers to obey and take delight in God’s commandment to enable their children achieve greatness, and challenge parents to let their children recognise the benefits of embracing and focusing on God in all situations.
Reverend Oniya appealed to mothers to embrace God totally in order to raise godly children, regretting increase of evil in the society, which he blamed on mothers who shy away from the responsibility of good parenting.
He also admonished clergy wives to organise programmes that will promote the core family values, encourage healthy family lives and educate younger wives on domestic and practical home matters like cooking and housekeeping.
