Ekiti State Government has honored members of the state covid-19 task force for their selfless service towards curtailing the effects of the virus in the State.
Among those honored are the general manger, broadcasting service of Ekiti State, Mr Olu Popoola, chief press secretary to the governor, Mr Yinka Oyebode, some medical personnel and environmental officers
Governor Kayode Fayemi, who handed over certificates of recognition to members of the task force in Ado said that their names would be indelible in the history of the state
The governor said that the members contributed immensely to the success recorded in the fight against the scourge.
Dr Fayemi revealed that the state was recognized as having the best-performing disease surveillance team in Nigeria.
He explained that his administration had strengthened the health facilities in the state to promote viable healthcare system.
In their remarks the director general office transformation and service delivery, prof Mobaji Aluko and the commissioner for health Dr Oyebanji Filani commended Governor Fayemi for taken the bold steps in managing the pandemic in the State.
