In a bid to support the back to school initiative of the wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr Olayemi Abiodun Oyebanji, the chairman of Efon Local government Mr Segun Afolabi, has presented exercise books to schools in the council area.
The event which took place at Government secondary school Efon Alaaye was attended by school pupils, students, teachers and political leaders in the council area.
Mr Afolabi noted that education was the cornerstone of any society hence the need to support the children to succeed.
The council chairman assured the pupils of conducive environment while commending governor Biodun Oyebanji and wife Dr Olayemi for their giant strides in the sector.
The Vice Chairman, Mrs Dunni Popoola and other guests including Olori Roseline Aladejare and Area Education Officer Mrs Omolola Ojo commended the initiative.
Thousands of branded exercise books were presented to primary and secondary school students at the event.
The Efon LG management promised continual support to the sector.
