Eid-el-Fitri:Ekiti NUT Chairman, Oke congratulates muslims, urges them to celebrate moderately

The Ekiti state chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Mr Emmanuel Oke has congratulated Muslims in Ekiti state, especially in the teaching profession on the conclusion of the thirty days Ramadan fast.

In his congratulatory message on the occasion of the Eid el – Fitri celebration, Oke enjoined Muslims to allow themselves to be guided by the experience of the Ramadan fast.

He charged them to embrace peace at all times as preached by the Holy Prophet Mohammed, and cultivate a harmonious living with other religious faith.

“As we all witness this year’s Ramadan, so I pray we all live to witness more on earth, I charge my Muslim teachers to continue to ruminate on the teaching of Ramadan, with a view to have a better society.

While calling for a moderate celebration of the Eid el- Fitri, the NUT chairman said “We should be wary of the existence of the Indian variant of covid-19 in Nigeria and observe all prescribed safety protocols as we go to our different praying ground and visit individual’s home.
