Traditional religion worshippers under the aegis of Atayese socio cultural group has felicitated Muslims on the occasion of the Eid-el-kabir.
Chief Akin Ojo who is the leader of traditional religion worshippers in Ekiti-State described the festival as a season of love, peace, friendship and sacrifice.
He urged the faithfuls to emulate Holy Prophet Mohammed by imbibing the ideals of sacrifice.
Chief Akin Ojo said Muslims should not see the season as moment to wine and dine but extend hands of love to the less privileged in the society.
He urged Nigerians to embrace religious tolerance which would promote peace across the country and enhance national development.
He thanked the Muslim community in Ekiti-State for the consistent prayers and support to the state government and Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe.
Chief Akin Ojo Atayese commended the state government for being consistent in promoting equity and harmony among the adherents of the three major faiths in the state, nothing that the present administration under the leadership of Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has done well in fostering peace, love and unity among the different religious faithful in the state.
