… calls for fervent prayers to salvage Nigeria.
The President of Ekiti Kete Coalition USA, Mr Joe Olugbamila has urged Muslims in Ekiti state and other parts of Nigeria not to relent on their prayers for the country and its leaders to have a better Nigeria.
Mr Olugbamila while felicitating the Muslims in a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday said that Nigeria was currently in need of fervent prayers to overcome the numerous challenges bedeviling it and enable it regain its rightful position in the comity of the nations”.
“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate my Muslim brothers and Sisters on this year Eid El Kabir and also want to implore our people to keep faith and hope alive that Nigeria will still be great, Nigeria remains the only country we can call our own country, we have no other place hence we all have to join forces together and pray for divine intervention in getting it out of the numerous challenges being faced” he said.
Mr Olugbamila expressed optimism that with genuine commitment and prayers, “Nigeria will soon overcome the insecurity, economic and other challenges presently mitigating the nation and the much needed development the country is craven for.
He enjoined Muslims to be more committed and dedicated in their service to Almighty Allah and rendering of assistance to the less privileged in the society.
He said “Sallah is beyond slaughtering of ram and cows,it is a period of giving thanks to Almighty Allah through sacrifice, prayer and at the same time rendering of support to family ,friends and the less privileged around us out of the little that we have”.
