As Muslims across the world mark the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir, the chairman of Isokan Local Council Development Area of Ekiti state, Hon Kayode Ogundaisi has called on Nigerians to shun acts capable of disrupting the unity, and peaceful co-existence of the country.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Sunday evening Hon Ogundaisi congratulated Muslims in his Council area and Nigeria in general saying that no meaningful achievements could be attained in an atmosphere devoid of peace and unity.
The council Boss urged all to remember the less privileged in the spirit of the celebration by supporting them to mark the Eid-el- Kabir and have a spirit of belonging.
Ogundaisi urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray and renew their faith in Allah and in the nation.
He also charged them to imbibe the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, love, tolerance, peace and patriotism.
“I admonish you to as you celebrate remember those who are less privileged by supporting them to celebrate and have a spirit of belonging”.
Hon Ogundaisi acknowledged the support given through prayer by the Muslim Community in the LCDA, noting that it would not be taking for granted.
He also thanked members of the Muslims community for living in peace and harmony with other adherents of other religions, thereby making the LCDA one of the most peaceful council to live and work.
The Isokan council boss also acknowledged the efforts of the state governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji towards the celebration, particularly at patronizing Ekiti Ram sellers thereby discouraging capital flight.
