AS Muslim faithful in Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, the Chairman Kajola Local Council Development Area Chief Ojo Adebayo has felicitated with Muslims across the country.
In a Sallah Message, he personally signed on Sunday in Ijesa-Isu Ekiti, the Kajola council Boss urged all to remember the less privileged in the spirit of the celebration by supporting them to mark the Eid-el- Kabir and have a spirit of belonging.
Chief Adebayo urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray and renew their faith in Allah and in the nation.
He urged the Muslim Ummah, and all Nigerians to imbibe the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, love, tolerance, peace and patriotism.
“I seize this opportunity to rejoice with you all on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Eid Kabir the feast of sacrifice. I pray almighty Allah will accept our sacrifices”.
“I admonish you to as you celebrate remember those who are less privileged by supporting them to celebrate and have a spirit of belonging”.
Chief Adebayo appealed to faithful to learn from Prophet Ibrahim who surrendered to the will of the Almighty Allah by sacrificing his son Ishmael based on Allah’s injunction.
He said Prophet Ibrahim’s obedience, which was a test of faith, turned what was thought to be a loss into a great gain noting that sacrifices, when done in good faith, produce positive results.
The Kajola council Boss appreciated the Muslim Community in the LCDA for the support given to his administration through prayer, counsel and solidarity which he said he would not take for granted.
He also thanked members of the Muslims community for living in peace and harmony with other adherents of other religions, thereby making the LCDA one of the most peaceful states to live and work.
Chief Adebayo promised to continue to carry them along in his government and always see to their welfare.
