The Ekiti Commissioner for Employment and Wealth Creation , Mr. Kayode Fasae, , has been recommended for a week suspension by the resolution of the state House of Assembly
The Assembly was miffed by his non appearance before it to give his account of stewardship like his colleagues had done in the current exercise embarked upon by the house.
Mr. Fasae also did not send his account of stewardship to the House as requested.
The lawmakers considered the action of the Commissioner by ignoring the summons of the house as a flagrant disrespect to the legislature despite having received the house summons through writing about one month ago.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye reiterated the resolve of the house not to tolerate act of disrespect to the House from any person no matter how highly placed.
He thereby recommended through a resolution of the house to the governor that the commissioner be suspended for a week for violating sections 108, 128, and 129 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The speaker thereafter directed the clerk to communicate the resolution of the House to the Governor.
