The Ekiti State Local Government Service Commission Chairman , Mr Samuel Abejide has assured council workers of the commission’s readiness to address their concerns on promotions, absorptions, career advancement, and conversions in no distance time.
Mr Abejide gave the assurance while addressing the workers at the October edition of the prayer sessions held in Aiyekire Local Government and Gbonyin Local Council Development Area of the state.
The Chairman who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Titilayo Toba-Ojo said the commission was committed to addressing the outstanding issues but requires time to put the necessary administrative structures in place.
He emphasized that the commission values dedication, commitment to duty and openness, adding that the door of the commission is opened to constructive criticisms and suggestions that could enhance effective service delivery at the grassroots by the workforce.
The Chairman charged them to continue to work diligently and always support the Governor of the State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji stating that to whom much is given, much is expected.
Earlier in his address of welcome, the Chairman of Aiyekire Local Government Hon. Adeyemo Adeoye stressed that the visit of the commission for the October edition of the prayers would afford the staff the opportunity to have a robust interactive session and enable them to make an on-the-spot assessment of what obtained in the council.
Mrs. Toba-Ojo in a similar visit to Ikole LG which had the staff of Kajola and Ajoni LCDAs in attendance highlighted the divine inspiration behind the prayer sessions.
She reiterated the needs for the staff to shun partisan politics which could cause distraction and division among the workers.
According to her, all hands must be on deck to ensure the success of the BAO’s be administration’s policy thrusts aimed at ensuring improved living standards of the residents of Ekiti State noting that it was high time the workers showed absolute loyalty to Mr. Governor in view of the various government incentives and motivation for the local government workers.
The Branch Chairmen of NULGE thanked Mr Governor for according workers welfare a topmost priority pledging the absolute supports of the local government workers to the BAO’s administration.
