Ekiti Government swears-in Justice Oyewole Adeyeye as Acting Chief Judge

The Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi has reaffirmed the determination of his administration
to uphold the independence of the judiciary and the Rule of Law

The Governor who gave the remarks at the swearing in of the acting Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye noted that Government would continue to intensify efforts towards ensuring an effective justice delivery system in the State.

He charged the acting Chief Judge to
maintain high standard of professional competence and
integrity and dispense justice to all manners of people without fear or favour.

The Governor explained that the new acting Chief Judge should also contribute positively to the advancement of administration of justice.

Dr Fayemi noted that his administration would initiate key reforms in the sector and improved welfare for the judiciary workers.

In his remarks, Justice Adeyeye promised to discharge his duties in accordance with the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria.

The Ekiti State Government had earlier announced the appointment of Justice John Oyewole Adeyeye as the new Acting Chief Judge.

He replaces the immediate past Chief Judge Justice Ayodeji Daramola who retired having attained the mandatory age of sixty.

The new Acting Chief Judge hails from Araromi Ugbesi in Ekiti East Local Government area of the State.
