The Ekiti State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Alhaja Maryam Ogunlade has charged the State Chapter of the National Council of Women Society, to be more alive to ther responsibility for the betterment of women folks.
The Commissioner gave the charge while receiving some members of the National Council of Women society that paid her a courtesy visit in Ado Ekiti .
Alhaja Ogunlade urged them to join hands together and make themselves relevant towards ensuring that women are more represented, protected and not being deprived of their rights in the society .
She urged the members to be United and forge ahead towards esuring and securing a better future for women
The Women Affairs Commissioner who commended the wife of the State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for driving and championing the course of Women in the State, enjoined the Association to corroborate her efforts by re organising themselves for the betterment of the women folks in general .
The President of the Association, Mrs Bolatito Alabi and the former President, Mrs Abike Balogun thanked the Commissioner for giving them an open arms.
They solicited for government support and admonished members to put themselves together for the uplift of the council and development of the society
