The Ekiti State Government has assured traditional rulers in the state that the construction of the Traditional Council Chamber will be completed in due course.
The Deputy Governor, Okinlua Monisade Afuye gave the assurance during an assessment of the project located at Okesa area of Ado Ekiti.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Chairman, Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Ayodele Adejuwon, Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Tope Ogunleye Permanent Secretary Deputy Governor’s Office, Mr Bayo Opeyemi and his counterpart in Bureau of Special Projects, Mr Dele Ogunsemoyin among other top government officials.
Okinlua Afuye who moved round the project started by the last administration said that the project when completed would give the Obas a sense of belonging
The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of the building to the state government and assured that Governor Biodun Oyebanji would ensure that the project was completed without further delay .
She called on the officials of the Bureau of special projects handling the construction to speed up work and work to specification.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Mr Tope Ogunleye had earlier intimated the Deputy Governor on the level of work done saying that the project is expected to be delivered by February next year.
The Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers, Oba Adejuwon had earlier thanked the State Government for ensuring the completion of the project despite the little resources.
