Ekiti Govt abrogates “work from home” policy.

The Ekiti State Government has revoked the work from home policy initiated on September last year to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the state workforce.

In a letter from the office of establishment and service matters to all accounting officers, the cancellation was in view of the government investments in the welfare of workers and the promising contributions to the nation’s economy.

The letter signed by the permanent secretary, Mrs Ajibola enjoined workers to return to work from Monday.

Government had last year initiated the work from home policy under which public servants depending on their grades levels work from home for a period of one to three days.

The policy lasted for four months.
