The Ekiti State Deputy Governor Okinlua Monisade Afuye has reaffirmed the present administration’s commitment to always give adequate recognition and respect to traditional Institution in the state.
The State Deputy Governor who gave the affirmation during a meeting with traditional rulers in Ado the state capital said that their role in the development of the state can not be underestimated.
Okinlua Afuye while addressing the traditional rulers at their chamber in Ado said the visit was to express appreciation to the them for their support and the fatherly role they played in the development of the state.
She commended the neutrality shown by the Royal Fathers during the last election calling on them to be relentless and ensure that their subjects are well secured.
On the ongoing construction of the traditional council chamber, the Deputy Governor assured the Royal fathers that the project would be delivered by February next year.
She called for more support form the Royal fathers in ensuring the development of the state and promised that vacant stools are filled promptly in line with the layed down law.
Responding, the Chairman Council of Traditional rulers who is also the Onisan of Isan Ekiti Oba Ayodele Adejuwon commended the Deputy Governor for her thoughtfulness and prayed God to endow her with wisdom and knowledge needed to succeed in office.
Also contributing the Alawe Oba Ajibade Alabi called for more welfare packages for Obas in the state.
