Ekiti govt constructed 130 kilometers of roads in four years…Omole
The Ekiti State Commissioner for information and Values Orientation, Mr Akin Omole says the outgoing administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi awarded and constructed over 130 kilometers of roads in the state.
Omole, who gave the information at a press briefing heralding the activities of the 4th anniversary and inauguration ceremonies of the incoming administration, said the 130 kilometers were aside from the over one thousand kilometers of rural roads under construction.
The commissioner, who took time to analyze the achievements of the Fayemi administration, said that the State Cargo Airport, and other legacy projects would be inaugurated as part of activities lined up for the for the 4th anniversary of the government.
He explained that necessary measures had been put in place to ensure a seamless transition to a new government.
The commissioner listed some of the projects to be inaugurated to include Harding memorial college Ado, SUBEB new Office complex at the secretariat, bus terminal and Isan model college.
He said that there would be JKF valedictory state of the state address, and finishing well senatorial visit by the governor and the governor elect, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.
Mr Omole said that the outgoing government had ensured that all sectors of the economy received adequate attention.
He noted that during the period under review, the Fayemi administration delivered on its projections for policies, programmes and projects execution.
He maintained that the incoming administration would hit the ground running without any hinderance and would also build on the existing template of development.
