The Nigeria Immigration Service has commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its pivotal role in youth development, recognizing the scheme’s significance to the nation.
Ekiti State Comptroller, Adekunle Jimoh, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit to the NYSC Ekiti State Secretariat in Ado Ekiti.
He lauded the NYSC’s dedication to youth empowerment, saying the visit would further strengthen ties between the two federal agencies.
“I want to appreciate the State Coordinator for his warm welcome. The NYSC Office is the first office I am visiting after being appointed the head in Ekiti Command. I am here to solidify the existing relationship between the two federal agencies,” said Comptroller Adekunle Dauda Jimoh.
In his response, the NYSC state coordinator, Alhaji Riko Shuaibu, expressed joy at receiving the Comptroller and highlighted the NYSC’s role as a youth empowerment organization, equipping Nigerian youths to face the realities of life.
He also acknowledged the consistent positive response of the Immigration Service in the state to NYSC invitations.
