The Ekiti Kete Coalition USA has congratulated renowned lawyer, educationalist, and philanthropist, Afe Babalola, on receiving the 2024 Best Nigeria Patriot Award by the Association of United Nations Ambassadors for Peace.
The coalition described the award which will be conferred on the legal luminary on Thursday, 9th January, 2025 at the Labour House, Abuja as a well-deserved recognition of Aare Babalola’s tireless efforts to promote education, excellence, and patriotism in Nigeria.
In a statement released by the President of the Association, Hon. Joe Olugbamila praised the legal luminary’s contributions to Nigeria’s development, particularly in the education sector.
He noted that as the founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), Aare Babalola has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to providing quality education and empowering future generations.
“Afe Babalola’s dedication to education and national development is unparalleled,” said the coalition. “His selfless efforts to provide access to quality education have impacted countless lives and contributed significantly to Nigeria’s growth.”

Also the secretary of the group, Hajia Aisha Opeyemi Oni in her remarks highlighted Babalola’s numerous awards and recognitions, including his induction into the Nigerian Hall of Fame, the National Merit Award, and the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).

The Ekiti Kete Coalition USA also applauded the Association of United Nations Ambassadors for Peace for the humanitarian gesture in honor of Afe Babalola that will Support 300 Widows and the Christmas food packs and transportation allowances to be given to verified members of the National Association of Nigerian Widows (NANIWO)
