The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has commended the efforts of Hunter group in Ajoni LCDA , Ogbe and other border towns in Ekiti, Kwara and Kogi State for their combined efforts with the State Command to smoke out kidnappers from Ajoni LCDA axis of Ekiti State as well as the border towns.
The state Commandant Mr. John Fayemi, gave the commendation after he confirmed the arrest of some persons in connection with kidnapping cases along Oke Ako/ Irele/Ipao road in Ajoni LCDA.
The Commandant who is still mourning the demise of Inspector Segun Ayebulu, who was gruesomely murdered by the kidnappers along this axis, thanked The Nigerian Army, The Police, DSS and some Telecommunication companies for their support during the investigation and search for the kidnapped victims
Mr. Fayemi also declared that investigations are still ongoing to determine the chain of crimes of the suspects with a view to curbing their dastardly act in Ekiti State and the border towns.
“You will recall that last week, one of our officers was killed in an attempt to kidnap him while three of his relatives were abducted in that operations. This act challenged the Command into action with support from friendly forces which have been producing excellent result.”
The State Commandant assured people of the state that the Command was always ready to partner with any organisation, be it governmental or non governmental, in her quest to free the neigbouring Towns from kidnapping and make the forest inhabitable for kidnappers to operate.
