Ekiti NSCDC parades 11 criminal suspects for various crimes

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command has paraded suspected Criminals for various offences ranging from stealing, burglary, cyber bullying, rape and conspiracy.

In a statement by the command spokesperson, Tolu Afolabi, the State Commandant Mr. Solomon Iyamu while parading the suspects explained that “during the just concluded Sallah festival, the Command deployed her Personnel to the nooks and crannies of the State.

“The operation led to the arrest of some suspected criminals. Friday Manpol male ‘25’ from Plateau State, Monday Goma male, ‘30’ and John Dashir also from Plateau State were arrested in Ado-Ekiti after they had successfully broke into a supermarket and stole bags of rice and other valuable items before the team of NSCDC undercover went after them.

“Aladegoroye Micheal ‘35’, Abubakar Musa ‘20’ Imuraina Haruna ‘20’, Zaiyaru Usman ‘25’ and Mustapha Abdulahi ‘25’ were arrested in Emure Ekiti for conspiracy and stealing of six (6) split air conditioners belonging to a bank in the town.

“The suspect explained that the Chief Security Officer of the bank sold the items to them.

“They are all in our custody assisting our investigation.

“Ahmed Muibat female’20’ was arrested in Ado Ekiti for illegal possession of substance suspected to be cannabis Sativa and assault.

“She was found with the substance and resisted arrest thereby causing injuries to the arresting officer.

“Olusegun Olasunkanmi ‘21’ was arrested around Adebayo Ado Ekiti, he was alleged of cyber stalking.

“The suspect had canal knowledge of a minor and took her nude picture which he sent to his friends without the knowledge of the victim.

“Finally, an alleged rape and food poisoning was reported against one Ogundare Micheal ‘58’ (AKA Awonjo) in Ikere Ekiti, the suspect was believed to have forcefully penetrated this victim through her anus and fed her with suspected poisoned food which made her unconscious and incapacitated.

The State Commandant explained that investigations are ongoing on these arrest and they will be charged to court as soon as possible.
