The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command has arrested and paraded one Michael Abiodun (27) for robbery and obtaining under false pretense.
State commandant John Fayemi while addressing newsmen, said the suspect was arrested after intelligent report.
He said Michael Abiodun was notorious for robbing bank customers around irona area of Ado Ekiti,
“Micheal Abiodun was arrested around Fidelity Bank axis along Irona Ado Ekiti, Abiodun 27 was alleged to have been participating in robbing passersby and customers of the bank under false pretense and other illegal means.” Fayemi added
Fayemi explained that, the command also arrested one Yusuf Abubakar and Jimoh Lamidi for “disturbing public peace and instigate violence” during the last APC local government Congress held last Saturday, in the state.
According to the commandant items recovered from them included weeds suspected to be canabis sativa and other dangerous weapons.
The commandant said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
” I want to encourage the public especially youths to desist from any criminal act that could tarnish their image, they should refrain from theft, yahoo, yahoo and fraud as well as obtaining under false pretence as it won’t be long before the arm of law catch up with you”. Fayemi added
