On 04/10/2022, the Command received a complaint from one Adelana Ayomikun that his wife, one Adelana Oyetuyi, his twin sister, one Odeyemi Kehinde and his three children of one-year-old, two-year-old and three-year-old respectively were kidnapped by unknown armed men on the same date at about 14:00hrs along Ise/Ikere-Ekiti road.
- He further narrated that the kidnappers made contact with him through a telephone call and demanded for a ransom of one hundred million naira.
- Intelligence-led policing led the Command Rapid Response Squad detectives to the hideout of the suspects in Ikirun, Osun State, where it was discovered that the callers were the supposed victims.
- One Adelana Taiwo, Odeyemi Kehinde, Alhaji Oseni Isah, Azeez Misitura and Hammed Wasiu were arrested and during interrogation, they confessed that they planned and staged the kidnapping to enable them get some money to pay the debt incurred by Adelana Taiwo and Odeyemi Kehinde.
- The arrested suspects will be arraigned accordingly.
