The chairman Ekiti State Board for Technical Education, Mr Kayode Babade has again encouraged the youths to shift attention from usual okada business and embrace technical education.
Mr Babade who gave the advise while featuring on this week’s edition of a BSES yoruba program okanmi o’kan o said showing interest in Technical Education would make youths acquire skills in various areas like mechanics, panel bitting, catering, garment making, and electrical among others
He said that Governor Kayode Fayemi’s interest in developing the youths for them to be self reliant made him spent heavily to uplift some technical colleges in the state.
The Board chairman who noted that some people have began to change their orientation about the college explained that the enrollment of students into all the technical colleges in the state before the advent of the present administration was 215, which has now appreciated to over two thousand.
The board chairman who said that both the admission forms and tution fees to the colleges are free, urged the interested youths to purchase their forms at any of the technical colleges in the state.
