The Ekiti State Governor Dr Kayode Fayemi has assured the people of the state that the Ekiti cargo airport and other on-going legacy projects would be delivered at the expected time frame.
The governor who spoke with journalists shortly after inspecting some ongoing projects in Ado, said that government was working assiduously to deliver the airport before the expiration of his administration in October.
Governor Fayemi was conducted round the on-going terminal building, the 3.2km runway and other sections of the airport.
The governor expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done so far by the contractor adding that government attached great importance to the speedy completion of the airport.
He said that the airport project when completed and the Ekiti knowledge zone would attract more local and foreign investment in to the state, create employment opportunities among other benefits.
The governor maintained that his administration had ensure the implementation of sustainable policies and infrastructural development adding that the incoming government would continue with the vision of accelerating the industrial development of the state.
The governor also inspected the ongoing building project at the harding model college situated at oke-sha, the road rehabilitation work within the state secretariat and the UBEC model school.
