The Chairman of Ido Osi Local Government, Mr Bamidele Omoleye, has cautioned the people of the area against acts that could cause fire outbreaks.
Mr Omoleye, who gave the warning when he visited the victims of a fire outbreak at Ayetoro Ekiti, where he presented them with cash and food items, described the incident as unfortunate and regretable.
The Chairman explained that poor handling of candle lights, leaving electrical appliances on at nights or while away, as well as, keeping petrol in living apartments were some of the known causes of fire outbreaks.
He urged residents to always be conscious of the factors and ensure safety at all times.
He used the opportunity to thank the people of the Local Government for embracing peace and urged them to sustain it.
In their responses, the victims thanked the Council boss for gesture and his quick response.
