Chief Modupe Adebayo, the step-mother of the first civilian governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo is dead.
In a statement signed by the family, Chief Adebayo died on March 8, at the age of 85, after a brief illness.
Chief Modupe Adebayo was the wife of the former military governor of the defunct Western region, late major general Adeyinka Adebayo.
She is survived by children and great grandchildren.
According to the release, burial arrangements would be announced later.
