Group Condemns misinformation, Campaign of Calumny against Senate Leader, Opeyemi.

…Urges Nigerians to support him amidst unfounded attacks

A concerned group of stakeholders has called on Nigerians to rally behind the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, amidst attempts to distract him from his duties.

The President of the group, Ekiti Kete Coalition USA. Honorable Joe Olugbamila expressed dismay at the unfounded allegations leveled against the lawmaker adding that it is an attempt to tarnish his reputation.

Hon. Olugbamila while reacting to the allegation published on some dailies, that the Senate leader was working against the interests of the Yoruba people at the National Assembly stated that the allegations were largely unsubstantiated and lack concrete evidence.

The President who called on Nigerians to ignore the baseless allegations against Senator Bamidele noted that the Senator had consistently refuted the claim and reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being and progress of the Yoruba people as well as the interest of Nigerians.

He added that the senator representing the people of Ekiti Central senatorial District has been a strong advocate for transparency and accountability in government.

According to Hon. Olugbamila “Senator Bamidele’s dedication to Nigeria’s progress is unwavering. We must support him against baseless distractions.

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele deserves respect and support, not distractions from baseless claims. As a dedicated leader, he has been working tirelessly for the good of Country, and his focus should not be shifted by unfounded lies.

His achievements in office, including advocacy for good governance, constituency development, and human rights, are testament to his commitment to the people, It’s crucial to recognize the importance of leadership like Senator Bamidele and desist from spreading baseless rhetorics that can hinder progress, Olugbamila remarked.

So, let us promote constructive dialogue and support leaders who are making a positive impact. Spreading unfounded lies only serves to divide and distract from the real issues. Instead, let’s focus on holding leaders accountable for their actions, he said.

He also added that Senator Bamidele had championed human rights protection and gender equality bills and facilitated various constituency projects, education initiatives, and economic empowerment programmes for his constituents.

Also the secretary of the group, Hajia Opeyemi Oni who said she was taken aback by the false claims noted that the aims of peddlers of such unfounded lies were to distract Senator Bamidele Opeyemi from national service.

She expressed optimism that the Senate Leader would not be deterred by the baseless claim but will continue to serve the interest of Nigerians and championed initiatives that will benefit his constituency and promote Yoruba culture

It would be recalled that Senator Opeyemi Bamidele has come out to deny claims that he’s working against the interests of the Yoruba people.
